Time to reflect at remembrance service
OMAGH'S public commemorative ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the bomb will take place today at 3pm.
The event will provide an opportunity for those affected by the bomb to come together with community in an act of remembrance.
The 45-minute ceremony will be conducted from a stage on Drumragh Avenue outside the Memorial Garden and will be played to screens in Drumragh car park.
"It is planned to be a reflective and uplifting ceremony which will include scripture and inspirational readings, musical pieces by the Omagh Waterford Peace Choir and a short address by former hostage and church envoy Terry Waite CBE,"said an Omagh District Council spokesman.
During the ceremony the Garden of Light Memorial Garden will be officially opened. Bereaved families and guests will be invited to lay floral tributes in the Memorial Garden before it is open to the public a 4.30pm.
The viewing public is asked to gather at Drumragh Avenue or the car park.
