MISSING OMAGH PENSIONER SAFE
Missing Omagh pensioner safe
A CO Tyrone pensioner who was feared to have become the missing victim of the horrific Omagh bomb has been found safe and well.
Agnes McSorley, 81, from Ballygawley, was last seen in Omagh on the day the 500lb car bomb exploded, but as police and medical experts spent a harrowing weekend identifying the victims, friends of the missing woman became increasingly concerned that she too had been killed.
She was last seen in the centre of Omagh around noon on the day of the disaster, a day after telling a friend she was going on holiday.
Police had not ruled out the possibility that she had been one of the 28 killed, but yesterday confirmed she was found on Sunday - eight days after the atrocity. An RUC spokesman declined to say where she had been.
