Drivers light up chopper landing
Police officers and ambulance personnel created a floodlit landing zone so a sick child could be flown in for treatment.
The youngster was among the last victims of the Omagh blast to be rushed to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital from local hospitals.
Other patients had been landed in a hastily cleared car park outside the accident and emergency centre, but poor light was making it treacherous for the helicopter, until the quick-thinking drivers stepped in and circled their Land Rovers and ambulances to light the way.
Praising them and every other person involved in Saturday nights race against death, Royal Hospital group Press officer Jerry Carson said the effort made was tremendous.
