LETTER TO EDITOR
US AIR STRIKES
Sir, - Paudeen still fumbles in the greasy till. Not only have we failed to condemn the United States bombing of two independent Third World countries, but we think it perfectly rational that the author of these atrocities should visit Omagh.
A trip to Ireland will nicely balance his media image Clinton, the man of peace. Obviously there are differences, maybe even big ones, but would it be acceptable for the bombers of Omagh to tour Khartoum? To shake hands with the victims there when their own hands arc so bloody?
Sudan is far away, its people arc not supported by the hegemony of Western media, but they have limbs and children just the same.
Yours, etc.,
JERRY CROWLEY,
Carrigower Lodge,
Kilpedder,
Co Wicklow.
