Charles's gift for Omagh hospital

A PRINCE Charles painting will go under the hammer in Dublin tonight to raise money for Omagh hospital.
The painting is one of 200 works of art being auctioned to help the people of Omagh in the wake of August's bomb tragedy which left 29 people dead and scores injured.
The auction is being held at the National Concert Hall in Dublin tonight and is expected to raise thousands of pounds for the hospital.
Prince Charles' picture, of Windsor Castle, is the first of his paintings to be auctioned anywhere.
It is one of a collection of art work that includes paintings by artists Tony O'Malley, Carey Clarke, Basil Blackshaw and Hector McDonnell.
Artist Derek Hill, who was recently made an honorary Irish citizen, will paint a portrait for the highest bidder.
The profits from the auction will be used for the purchase of specialised medical equipment by Omagh hospital.
