ADAMS TO SPEAK AT DUNDALK RALLY

Adams to speak at Dundalk rally
By Michael O'Toole

SINN FEIN President Gerry Adams will make a keynote address tomorrow night in Dundalk - thought to be a stronghold of the Real IRA before it announced its ceasefire. The alleged leader of the Real IRA - the group responsible for the Omagh atrocity - lives in the area, as well as a number
of his lieutenants.
It will be the first time Mr Adams has spoken at a meeting in the town since the Omagh blast, which left 29 people dead.
Senior figures in the 32 County Sovereignty Movement -whom gardai suspect of being linked to the Real IRA but which has consistently denied that allegation - also live in the area.
There was speculation that dissident republicans would attempt to barrack Mr Adams when he addresses the crowd, but sources within the movement last night ruled out any protests.
One source said: "There won't be any protests, he is entitled to his views as much as anyone else."
