NO PEACE WITHOUT DECOMMISSIONING
No peace without decommissioning
THE terrorist prisoners who were released on Friday under the early release scheme were no different in the methods of their morality than the men who bombed Omagh.
I supported the agreement and accepted that the early release of prisoners was a necessary part of it, but the cheering and jubilation in front of the Maze disgusted me.
There was no sign of regret, or of sympathy for all the innocent people murdered by terrorists over the years.
While we glorify those who use violence, and while tons of explosives remain concealed in this community the threat of some lunatic attempting another Omagh is still with us.
There will be no peace without decommissioning.
