APPEAL FOR OMAGH VAN DRIVER
Appeal for Omagh van driver
RUC detectives investigating the Omagh bomb have said they want to speak to the driver of a Mercedes Sprinter van.
In a statement released last night, the van was described as having a light-coloured cab and darker rear.
It is believed to have been on the Campsie Road in the Market Street area between 2.15pm and 2.20pm on the afternoon of the explosion.
"It is still important that if you were in Omagh on the Saturday [August 15] afternoon between 2pm and 3pm that you talk to detectives if you have not already done so."
The numbers to ring are the special incident room on 01662 246979 or 256676. Alternatively you can contact the station at Omagh on 246177, the Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or the confidential phoneline on 0800666999.
