IF a contest between two teams of gladiators known as American football is permitted by the GAA in one of its grounds, then there is no plausible reason why a much more civilised game like soccer cannot be permitted in Healy Park, Omagh, especially for a worthy cause.
Accepting membership in the GAA of members of the RUC and British security forces is an entirely different matter. If and when those bodies take some steps to cease their harassment of and bloody-mindedness towards GAA members and property, then by all means Rule 21 should be abolished.
