PRIEST'S ANGER AT PAISLEY ASSERTION
Priest's anger at Paisley assertion
MONSIGNOR Denis Faul last night condemned DUP leader Ian Paisley for naming four Tyrone men who he alleged were "known by Sinn Fein to be members of the so-called Real IRA".
Mgr Faul, Parish Priest of Carrickmore, said he had talked to three of the men named by Dr Paisley and was concerned about their legal and human rights.
The staunch critic of paramilitary groups also revealed plans to take legal advice about the matter to further protect the men's reputations.
Mgr Faul said he thought it was "outrageous" that Mr Paisley should "abuse Parliamentary privilege to name four Tyrone men as members of the Real IRA.
"I am convinced that these men are completely innocent and are not members of any illegal or subversive organisation and certainly not members of the Real IRA or the 32-County Sovereignty Movement."
