DISSIDENT REPUBLICANS MUST BE STOPPED
Dissident republicans must be stopped
Determined action is required against the dissident republican groups implicated in the Omagh bombing.
History seems to be repeating itself, so let it do so completely. When the Treaty settlement was made the incoming government set about ending the violence: there is now an opportunity for nationalists, republicans and Sinn Fein leaders who negotiated the Good Friday agreement, to accept their responsibilities, and show statesmanship and courage in assisting in the search and apprehension of the perpetrators.
The names and hideouts of those involved should be divulged so that the peace inherent in that historic compromise is not lost.
By engaging in the agreement the party leaders have in many minds shown considerable courage: they will gain further credit by preventing the community slipping into the abyss.
