FAMILY SAYS GOODBYE TO ANGEL
Family says goodbye to 'angel'

A NUMB silence hung over the home of teenager Lorraine Wilson yesterday as her family prepared to bury its "angel".
The 15-year-old - the family's youngest daughter - died beside her best friend Samantha McFarland (17) when Saturday's car bomb ripped through Omagh.
The two girls were doing volunteer work in the town's Oxfam shop when they were evacuated from the building.
Bishop of Derry and Raphoe Dr James Mehaffey and Rector Rev Derrick Quinn held a private service in the family's home at Camowen Bungalows yesterday afternoon.
Dr Mehaffey described Lorraine, a student at Omagh high school, as a girl who was "full of vitality, energetic and enthusiastic".
He said: "She was a model pupil and she was only 15. Her life was only beginning but now it has been taken away from her.
"The evil intention of the bombers is in stark contrast to the innumerable deeds of care and compassion which have been so clearly
demonstrated by the people of this community.
"The dark cloud of evil is being penetrated by numerous acts of love and goodness which are happening all around us."
As the cortege left the house for the final sad journey to Cappagh churchyard neighbours lined the route to pay their last respects.
The cortege passed through the centre of Omagh - past the scene of the explosion which has been screened off by police.
Lorraine's mother Ann and husband Godfrey followed the coffin, along with daughter Denise (21) and sons Garry (20) and Colin (10).
Samantha McFarland will be buried today at Lislimnaghan church just outside Omagh.
