RUC LOOKING FOR FURTHER INFORMATION ON BOMB CAR
RUC looking for further information on bomb car
DETECTIVES investigating the Omagh bombing have appealed for more information about the car used in the attack.
Police said yesterday that the task force appointed by the chief constable welcomed the response to their appeals so far.
But they are anxious to hear from anyone with information about the maroon Vauxhall Cavalier used to ferry the bomb.
The car - registration 91-DL-2554 - was stolen in Carrickmacross in the Republic on Thursday.
By the time it was parked in Omagh police believe the car's plates had been changed to MDZ 5211.
Meanwhile five men arrested in connection with the bombing were still being questioned yesterday.
