Bombing was most 'satanic deed ever executed'

FOOTBALL referees formed a guard of honour at the funeral yesterday of Philomena Skelton who would have been 40 next month. She had been on a shopping trip to Omagh with her husband and their three children.
More than a thousand mourners crowded into St Patrick's Catholic Church near her home at Drumquin, about eight miles outside the town.
Her three daughters walked behind the coffin carrying flowers, the youngest having been allowed out of hospital for the day, having also been injured in the blast.
Fr Sean Hegarty told mourners at the funeral of Gaelic loving teenager Brenda Logue that the bombing in Omagh had been "the most grotesquely satanic and gruesome deed ever executed in the history of our beloved country."
Brenda was one of five teenagers being laid to rest yesterday following the horrific blast.
Alan Radford (16) was buried at Greenhill cemetery outside the town following a private service at his home.
Hundreds gathered outside his home at Castleview Park in Omagh as a Mormon minister offered prayers inside. Many were schoolfriends from Omagh High School. Alan was due to receive his GCSE exam results earlier this week.
And the funeral of Gareth Conway in Carrickmore was attended by many of his schoolfriends and they together with local GAA players formed a guard of honour outside St Colmcille's church.
