BUNCRANA-OMAGH TRUST FUND

BUNCRANA - OMAGH TRUST FUND

A TRUST Fund has been set up in Buncrana this week, in conjunction with the Omagh Trust Fund, to help the families of the bereaved and injured in the months ahead.
Mr Barney Griffin, a local taxi driver, organised the setting up of the fund together with Carol Doherty, a sister of Rita Marie, who survived the blast uninjured.
"We talked to the families of Oran Doherty, Shaun McLaughlin and James Barker and the parents of the two injured local boys, Emmet McLaughlin and Ronan McGrory and they were very happy for us to go ahead to set up the fund.
"Money will not bring back the children who have died but it will help with the costs that have to be met now and in the future. The families have a difficult enough time without having to worry about covering the expenses that have arisen because of this terrible atrocity. Eventually we may erect a fitting memorial for the three children and our Spanish visitors," Mr Griffin explained.
The Trust Fund account is at Bank of Ireland in Buncrana but donations can be made at any Bank of Ireland. The account number is 40261539.
