We must crush men of evil - Minister McDaid

THE Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation, Dr James McDaid asked what kind of person could kill so many others including women and
children and he reiterated the Taoiseach's pledge to crush what he described as "vermin".
Dr McDaid was in Cairo on promotional work when he heard about the bombing on Saturday evening.
"I was watching CNN News when the word came through that there had been a bombing in Omagh. Like everyone else I was devastated about the whole matter," Minister McDaid said.
"We know who these people are and I am sure that the Taoiseach will do all in his powers to implement the present legislation to track the people who committed this atrocity down.
"If we are honest we all feel a great sense of anger at these people who are no more than fifty to one hundred. We must crush them and do something about this once and for all," the Minister added.
Dr McDaid said that he was particularly saddened to hear about the news of the three young boys from Buncrana and he expressed sympathy to all those who lost loved ones or knew people who were injured as a result of the Omagh bombing.
Donegal MEP Pat The Cope Gallagher said those responsible for the Omagh atrocity had no place in our society.
"There should be no hiding place for the people who carried out this act. They should be taken out of circulation and I have no doubt that both our Government and the British Government will do all they can to bring these people to justice," Mr Gallagher said.
