SPANISH VISITORS WANT TO RETURN

Spanish visitors want to return - says Fr. Bradley

Buncrana priest, Fr. Shane Bradley, who celebrated a private Mass for local children and their Spanish visitors in St. Mary's Oratory, said afterwards that the Spanish children wanted to come back to Donegal in the future.
He said: "It is very hard to find words, or to give a balanced view about how I and other local people feel today. I am angry but I am also so sad for these young families and what they are going through".
Minutes earlier, Fr. Bradley had asked the young people to take away a vision of the real Ireland and not the Real IRA.
"I have spoken to a number of the Spanish students. They are obviously very upset but have said they want to come back to County Donegal.
"They realise that this is not of our doing but that of a few misguided people. This was a private ceremony to more or less reassure the students that our thoughts are with them at this time".
Fr. Bradley said he knew the three young lads who had been killed in the blast and said he would never forget their little faces.
"They were just ordinary, happy-go-lucky lads. I knew young Shaun McLaughlin particularly well because he was an alter server. He was forever smiling and always in good form. It is such a shame", he said.
