College student hears of aunt's death
A teenage girl student attending Colaiste Mhuire in Loughanure learned on Saturday evening that her aunt was among the 28 people killed in the Omagh bomb massacre.
The girl, like many others from County Tyrone, awaited with baited breath on Saturday evening after news of the bomb blast emerged to hear if any relatives had been caught up in it. Shortly before the 340 students were due to attend the final ceili mor of the summer course, she learned that her aunt was among the fatalities.
The distraught girl, who was staying with a local family, returned to her Omagh home early on Sunday where she viewed the full horror of the bombing for herself.
