Donegal MEP Pat the Cope Gallagher said those responsible for the Omagh atrocity had no place in our society.
"There should be no hiding place for the people who carried out this act, they should be taken out of circulation", he said.
"I have no doubt that both our Government and the British Government will do all they can to bring these people to justice".
He added that words could not explain the depth of sorrow he felt for the people of Buncrana, Omagh and all those affected by Saturday's bombing.
