BRIDIE WILL HELP OMAGH DISASTER FUND
Bridie will help Omagh disaster fund
Bridie Lynch, the Donegal athlete who recently won a gold and silver medal in Spain, will be a special guest of honour this Thursday night, August 27th at a special Back-to-Back Talent competition between Donegal and Tyrone which will take place in the Ballymagorry Arms, Strabane.
The special night, proceeds which will go towards the Omagh Disaster Fund, is being organised by Aidan Farrell, Strabane, the well-known fund-raiser, and a man who has raised thousands of pounds for various charities on both sides of the border over the years.
Aidan commented that he felt he had to do something for this worthy cause and feels that his own small contribution will go some way towards swelling the coffers of what is sure to be a very large fund at the end of the day.
Also taking part in the special night is well known Derry comedian, Noel McBride while the Magic man, Derek Spence, will also contribute to the charity night.
Music will be provided by Norman Craig and in charge of the Donegal team will be Noel Slevin of Killygordon.
Patrons are asked to give a voluntary subscription on the night and there will be valuable spot prizes on offer.
Aidan Farrell said he wished to thank people on the Donegal and Tyrone sides of the border who have already been very generous with sponsorship for the event. The entertainment gets under way at 10 p.m.
