Health Board assistance
The North Western Health Board acted swiftly to offer assistance to their colleagues across the border dealing with the Omagh bombing.
Staff at Letterkenny General Hospital were in contact with Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry to offer assistance in dealing with the injured.
While it wasn't necessary for anyone to receive treatment in Donegal, blood supplies were sent from Letterkenny to hospitals in the North.
It is also understood that a number of G.P.s and other medical staff from Donegal went to Omagh on Saturday in a private capacity to give whatever help they could at the scene.
