A MEMORIAL marking the 10th anniversary of the Omagh bomb has been installed.
The glass and crystal pillar was put in place at the Co Tyrone blast site on Sunday. Preparations are continuing ahead of the commemoration of the 29 victims of the 1998 Real IRA car bomb, the single worst atrocity of the conflict.
Standing 4.5m high, the 'Garden of Light' obelisk (right) has a Tyrone Crystal heart suspended inside it.
Work took over 18 hours, with 21 sheets of glass bonded together in sets of three, lowered into the foundation framework by crane.
When the glass was put together the heart assumed a three-dimensional effect.
Unveiling of the monument will take place on August 15.
