Omagh accused to go on trial
THE trial of alleged Omagh bomber Sean Hoey will start on September 6.
Unemployed electrician Hoey (36), from Molly Road, Jonesborough, is the only person to face charges in relation to the August 1998 atrocity.
At an earlier court hearing he pleaded not guilty to 29 counts of murder.
Hoey also entered not guilty pleas in relation to possessing the bomb, causing the explosion and also in respect of a series of other terrorist strikes carried out in Ulster, including charges of conspiring to murder members of the security forces.
