Omagh: man in court
A SOUTH Armagh man accused of murdering 29 people in the Omagh bomb atrocity was today remanded in custody.
Sean Gerard Hoey (35), an unemployed electrician from Molly Road, Jonesborough, appeared at Belfast Magistrates' Court through a videolink from Maghaberry Prison.
He was remanded to ' appear again on August 1Q ahead of a preliminary inquiry expected to take place on August 30.
Hoey is the first person to be charged in connection with the 1998 atrocity which devastated Omagh and claimed the most lives of any single incident in Northern Ireland.
He has denied all the charges.
