ALASTAIR STEALS A MARCH ON BECKHAM
Alastair steals a march on Beckham
THIS is the moment when a teenager from Northern Ireland stole the limelight from Manchester Utd soccer star, David Beckham.
Omagh bomb victim Alastair Hall was the centre of attention when he met the footballer's pop star wife Victoria Adams at Old Trafford when he was guest of honour for Manchester United's title-winning clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
The club's chief executive Mike Farnan invited 13-year-old Alastair over.
He had met the brave teenager, who lost his right leg in the August 15 blast, when he was the mascot at last month's Ireland v England rugby match in Dublin.
But the young man did not get carried away with meeting Victoria, alias Posh Spice, saying that she "was very nice but didn't say very much".
