Omagh bomb: man for court

A MAN was due to appear in court in the Republic today after he was arrested by detectives investigating the Omagh bombing which killed 29 people on August 15, 1998.
Seamus Daly, (32), was due to appear at Dublin's Special Criminal Court earlier today accused of membership of an illegal paramilitary organisation.
A Garda spokesman said a man had been arrested in connection with "investigations into the bombing or matters arising from it."
Daly was arrested at his home in the Inniskeen area of Monaghan yesterday after a warrant was issued by the Special Criminal Court.
Daly is one of five suspected Real IRA figures facing a civil lawsuit filed by survivors of the Omagh bombing.
Three others being sued � Michael McKevitt, Liam Campbell and Colm Murphy � have already been jailed on Real IRA related charges.
Seamus Daly was named during Murphy's trial as the man who received two mobile phones used on the day of the bombing.
