So take Aidan with you Jesus, take with you all those who were killed'

THE small country church of St Mary's in Knockmoyle seemed to be a world away from the Omagh bomb.
Yesterday Aidan Gallagher (21),who was killed in the blast as he shopped for a pair of trousers, made his final journey out of Omagh to
be laid to rest here.
His father Michael and mother Patsy, accompanied by sisters Sharon and Cathy, who carried red roses, led the funeral procession to the church, followed by a line of cars stretching far into the distance. Around 100 mourners listened in silence in the rain outside after the procession had entered the church. Requiem Mass for Aidan was celebrated by Father Kevin Mullan. "We are very frightened by what has happened and we are broken hearted that Aidan is no longer on this earth," he said. "Aidan would not go to sleep without the cross of Jesus above his bed, so take him with you Jesus, take all those who died.
"Let the world of murderous past be gone - and change the murderous hearts of that world." Bishop Francis Lagan also spoke at the funeral Mass.
"Aidan was taken away in a sinful evil act that nothing can excuse, condone, or talk away."
