ALREADY have my resolution for the New Year - remember Omagh - and it won't be hard to keep. The Across the Bridge of Hope CD is simply magnificent, worth buying for yourself or friends and family anywhere in the world, even if you didn't know the �12.99 was going towards the best possible cause.
Juliet Turner had me in tears, on the day of the open-air service at Omagh courthouse, and I worried that no one had thought to issue a single of Broken Things as soon as possible. But I'd have been wrong for it is now the centrepiece, for me, of a perfectly-balanced album, with the cream of Irish musical talent giving its very best.
Buying the album would be compulsory, this Christmas, if I had my way. Every time you see it, or play it remember what it commemorates - and ask yourself what you are doing to help build bridges of hope.
