OMAGH BOMB GIRLS HEAD HOME
BRAVE Omagh bomb victims Michelle Mimnagh and Suzanne Kelly left hospital today after being fitted with artificial limbs.
The two girls have spent the past three weeks having intensive physiotherapy sessions at Musgrave Park Hospital.
Both young women lost their right leg in the bombing which devastated Omagh in August.
Suzanne, from Omagh, plans to return to her primary teacher training course in Liverpool.
Tonight, the 20-year-old will catch up with friends and have a drink at a pub - something she has not done since the August 15 tragedy.
She said: "I want to get on with my life but it is a bit frightening that I am going home to try and do things for myself again."
For over two weeks, doctors battled to save 17-year-old Michelle Mimnagh's right leg, but it was eventually amputated just below her hip.
Today, the teenager is happy to be going home to family in Drumquin. "I want to start leading a normal life again," she said today.
