Support group for Omagh families
A SELF-HELP group for bereaved families and survivors of the Omagh bomb explored today how funds raised in the wake of the atrocity can help them.
Representatives of the recently formed self-help group met administrators of the fund in Omagh to discuss their work.
The group's first meeting took place last week in the Royal Arms Hotel with more than half of the bereaved attending along with many of the injured.
Speaking ahead of today's meeting with the fund's administrators, group chairman Michael Gallagher, who lost his son in the bombing, said they wanted survivors of the bomb and victims' families to talk about the effects of August 15th on their lives.
Mr Gallagher also hoped the group would be able to provide advice to those still coming to terms with the loss of loved ones and their own limbs.
