Evil' hoaxers in Omagh bomb alert

SICK hoaxers were today slammed for bringing Omagh to a standstill.
Four weeks after a car bomb ripped through the town centre, traders and shoppers were trying to restore normality to the town.
But two hoax bomb alerts meant that terrified shoppers had to be evacuated from the Market Street area of the town on Saturday.
The hoaxers phoned uncoded warnings to two businesses in the area shortly before 4pm.
The area remained sealed off for more than two hours before the warnings were declared hoaxes.
Deputy Chairman of Omagh District Council Alan Rainey branded the hoax callers "evil" and "sick."
He said: "We had the children back to school and business was starting to get back to some kind of normality when this was thrust upon us again. It is just unbelievable.
"Those who are orchestrating this are sick. Their minds are really sick and they are evil."
Meanwhile 22 people injured in last month's bomb continue to be treated in hospital.
Two women remain on the critical list at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
A further six patients, including a Spanish child, are in a stable condition at the RVH.
Three females and one male patient continue to receive treatment at Altnagelvin Hospital where their conditions are described as stable.
A spokeswoman at the Tyrone County said that the two people being treated there were both "improving well and remained stable."
Six females, including two children, remain in a stable condition in the Ulster Hospital while a woman being treated at the Erne Hospital in Fermanagh is also described as stable.
And one woman continues to receive treatment for spinal injuries at Musgrave Park Hospital.
