Omagh buries one more bomb victim
Hundreds mourn 'devout Christian'
HUNDREDS of mourners attended the funeral service for the Omagh bomb victim who died three weeks after the explosion.
Sean McGrath (61) a retired businessman who was married with four grown-up children, died on Saturday.
He had been in a critical condition since the atrocity in which 28 people were killed and more than 200 were injured.
Parish priest Fr Francis Murray, who conducted the funeral Mass yesterday, paid lengthy tribute to Mr McGrath, who was well known in the town.
He said the tragic loss of Sean and the other 28 victims of the Omagh bomb had left the community "baffled, bewildered and heartbroken. '
"Sean's untimely death is an irreparable loss." he said.
"He was a wonderful man. an exemplary father and a devout Christian. We as a community will walk with his family and friends to emerge from this tragedy.
"Fr Murray added that President Mary McAleese, currently on a state visit to Australia, had sent her sympathy to the McGrath family.
Dr Francis Lagan. Auxiliary Bishop to the Bishop of Derry, strongly condemned those who planned and perpetrated the bombing.
About 300 people crowded into St Mary's Church in Killyclogher for the Requiem Mass.
They applauded as friends paid tribute to Mr McGrath, who had lived in Omagh all his life and was born in Market Street.
Mr McGrath's coffin was then taken on a horse-drawn carriage past the place where the bomb exploded on its way to the nearby cemetery in Dublin Road.
