THE FUNERAL was held today of an Omagh bomb victim who died from his injuries three weeks after the explosion.
Sean McGrath (61), who had been in a critical condition in Royal Victoria Hospital since the explosion, died on Saturday. His death brings the fatality total to 29.
Requiem Mass for Mr McGrath was conducted today in St Mary's Catholic Church, Killyclogher, by Father Francis Murray.
He was expected to devote his homily to a tribute to Mr McGrath's life.
Speaking before the funeral, Secretary of State Mo Mowlam expressed her sadness at Mr McGrath's death and sent her sympathy to his wife Nuala, and children Noeleen, Conor, Gavin and Caragh.
Mr McGrath, who lived in Carnony Road, retired from a successful bakery business two years ago.
Meanwhile, Russian federation ambassador Yurie Fokine today laid a wreath in Omagh in memory of the people killed in the Real IRA bombing.
A hoaxer yesterday claimed a bomb had been left in the town.
Churches were evacuated close to the courthouse at lunchtime after a caller gave an uncoded warning claiming a device had been left nearby. It was later declared a hoax.
