...FROM NORFOLK: My wife and I are retired Salvation Army officers living in a peaceful part of East Anglia with ordinary loving people, much like Omagh. Along with everyone it was hoped that with the new peace plan coming into operation, the days of violence was at an end.
Unfortunately, within our communities there are men who enjoy killing.
To say we were horrified by the bombing of Omagh last Saturday is putting it mildly. It is not possible for us to realise the feelings of those who have lost loved ones or who sit by hospital beds not knowing what is going to happen.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all who are suffering in any way from this tragedy. We would like you all to know that as loved ones are laid to rest in the coming days and others return from hospital, perhaps disabled for life, there will be many folk here in East Anglia who will be with you in thoughts and prayers.
We feel for you all at this time. May the Lord bless and keep you and' may your faith be your comfort and strength.

...FROM CANADA: I feel compelled to write this letter, over the years I have seen and read the horrible things that have happened in Ireland. But never has anything touched me so much as this last atrocious act in Omagh.
I've looked at a picture published in the Toronto Star over and over and my heart aches, how can anyone justify sanctioning a mission which could cause such heartache to so many innocent people.
I was born and raised in Belfast, and came to Canada quite a few years ago, but I can honestly say I can not think of one person that I ever knew who would even think of such an act, against another human being, is there no respect for human life any more, even the animals show more feeling.
Hopefully justice will prevail, but I'm worried about the future, this isn't about religion or politics, it's about mothers and fathers teaching little children to hate, take another look at the pictures and ask why?

Crackdown Fallacy: The Irish Government is working hand in glove with Britain in its anti terrorist crackdown. What rubbish - Eamon Flanagan and Joe Dillon, members of the 32 County Sovereignty Committee, are out on bail for possession of one-and-a-half tons of explosives.
The Irish Government has bent over backwards to appease terrorists, so would President Bill Clinton launch military attacks on Dublin if he was British Prime Minister?
