GRIEF FOR FATHER AND SON

Grief for father and son
By Francess McDonnell

THEY were buried as they died - together.
Father and son Fred and Byran White had been out shopping together in Omagh when the bomb exploded
Yesterday they lay side by side in a small country church.
Grief hung heavily in the air around Creevan Presbyterian Church as the broken-hearted familv of Fred (60) and Bryan (26) took their places in the church.
Earlier, close family led by wife and mother, Edith and daughter and sister, Linda had held a private family service at their home in Knockgreenan Avenue in Omagh.
Neighbours and friends had lined the streets in silence as the cortege left the family home for the short journey to the church.
Friends still bearing the scars of the bomb, some with arms in bandages, watched silently as a weeping mother and daughter, quietly followed the coffins from their home.
