IT WILL NOT HIT HOME YET
It will not hit home yet'
A MOTHER whose child was killed by the Shankill bomb said today her thoughts and prayers were with the people of Omagh.
Ten people died in the blast in a fish shop on Belfast's Shankill Road on October 23 1993.
Gina Murray, whose 13-year-old daughter Leanne was among the dead, today said that the enormity of the Omagh tragedy would not have hit many of the families yet.
And Mrs Murray said that with each Northern Ireland tragedy, all the horror and the pain of the Shankhill Road bombing came flooding back.
Her son telephoned her at home, to tell her of the news of the bombing in Omagh.
"I can't explain how I feel, it's so hard", she said.
She continued: "But it probably hasn't hit them yet - they will still be in shock."
Mrs Murray said that after she lost Leanne, "doctors put me on pills, and it was quite a while before it hit me."
She said that all her thoughts and prayers were with the families of the victims, and she added: "I would say to anyone involved just to keep calm."
