THE FULL horror was captured in a home video filmed just seconds after the Omagh blast.
As the smoke begins to clear, the dramatic scenes are revealed with people lying amid the rubble on the road while hundreds struggle away from the area, covered in blood.
Many hundreds more people can be seen standing motionless in shock and bewildered and terrified by the scenes taking place in front of them.
Then the amateur video, shown on TV networks across the globe, depicts the horrific search for loved ones and friends.
One young girl is seen frantically asking the camera man if he has seen her mother. A distraught mother helpsher son away from the scene his face covered in blood.
A shopworker is seen look ing around frantically for help as she tries to assist a woman lying on the ground badly injured, clutching her head in pain.
A businessman stands in the middle of the rubble strewn across the road. His white shirt is covered in blood and he is clutching his face, injured in the blast.
The road is littered with bodies and rubble from the blast as people rush around trying to help. Sirens can be heard in the background and the first emergency service officers arrive at the scene.
People help carry the injured to safety as the first victims are taken away on stretchers.
