Fifteen years since the bomb, another phase of this creative process invited the original participants to return to reflect on their involvement in the Petals of Hope project. The Workers Educational Association (WEA) received support from Omagh District Council and the Victims and Survivors Service (VSS) to offer this programme.
Participants were lead through this experience by Malachi O'Doherty, a creative writer and ICT expert who assisted students in the creation of the digital story. The artist Carole Kane co-facilitated in the creation of this digital story and accompanying booklet. Two sessions were delivered by Prof John Paul Lederach whose work explored the benefits of creativity within peace building.
The legacy of the Omagh Bomb floral tributes immortalised in a new booklet. Deirdre Nugent from Libraries NI pictured with journalist Malachi O'Doherty and artist Carole Kane at the launch of the "Remembering: Petals of Hope" digital archive and booklet in Omagh Library.
